EUROINVEST 2020: PR. KAMAL DAISSAOUI, DECORATED OFFICER OF THE ORDER OF SCIENCE AND INNOVATION
The professor-researcher and president of the Moroccan School of Engineering Sciences (EMSI), Kamal Daissaoui, was made officer of the Order of Science and Innovation during the Grand International Exhibition of Inventions Euroinvent 2020, which was hosted remotely by the city of Iași in Romania in the period between the 21st to 23rd May 2020.
This honor was awarded to Professor Kamal Daissaoui in recognition of “his outstanding commitment to scientific research and innovation”.
“It is a great honor for Morocco and a pride for myself, especially at this time of pandemic that the world is experiencing,” said Professor Kamal Daissaoui who is a laureate and Doctor in Computer Science from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis in France, noting that Mr. Daissaoui taught at the beginning of his professional career at this prestigious French university until 1981, before joining the Hassania School of Engineers in Casablanca.
In addition, Morocco, through EMSI, was also awarded, during this international exhibition, three gold medals for its three flagship inventions “Genius water pipeline for buildings”, “Smart Micro-wind for Highway” and “Smart Hospital Management”.
EMSI had received 70 awards at major competitions and exhibitions of inventions and innovations at the international level.
