UM6SS Students Join Fight Against Covid19 Thanks to “Dir l’khir” initiative.

120 requests for help, 70 baskets served and 100 ideas proposed so far. These are the sums of “Dir l’khir” initiative that was launched by the Student Office of the Mohammed VI University of Health Sciences (UM6SS) in order to fight against Covid19 pandemic.

Starting with volunteer work, academic support courses, volunteering in affiliated hospitals and innovations in the health sector, the operation is primarily digital, “Dir l’khir” is a platform that comes to provide practical application of solidarity of the Univesity’s students.

“Dir l’khir” initiative is inspired by the awareness raised during these difficult times that Morocco dwells on since a couple of months. Since everyone wants to help, but not everyone is allowed to leave home, Dir l’khir initiative steps in as a saviour, playing intermediary role between those offering help and those in need.

As committed citizens, we think of these thousands of women and men, who are in a vulnerable and critical situation, and who are even more directly affected by the pandemic

Ali Taleb, president of the Students’ Office.

It is to recall that the Students’ Office is backed by many associations such as Lions Clubs Smiles of Children UM6SS, Medec’IN-Casa, HITCLUB, Enactus UM6SS and USCA, who all joined their efforts and decided to donate an amount of MAD 50.000 to the Special Fund for the management of the pandemic Covid19.
